Fresh Out of the Field 

I'm 3 years old and have good breeding.  I've just been broke, and I'll walk, trot, and canter under saddle with a very experienced and tactful rider.  I've got very nice gaits when turned loose, but the weight of the rider makes it a little bit hard for me to show off under saddle.  My parents are quite famous and many believe that I have a great dressage career ahead of me.  I'm 16 hands to 16.3 but I'm going to grow several inches and fill out considerably.

The best thing about me is my price, considering my quality.  I can be bought for $18,000 to $30,000.  In two short years I'll be the envy of everyone in your dressage community.  Keep in mind that I'll need an experienced professional to train me.  I am sound with very recent radiographs.  Sometimes you'll find me at my breeders, and I may have a long mane and rough coat.  You'll just have to look through that to see my potential.  I'm a great value for your dollar, but again, keep in mind that I'm not for an amateur.

Young Prospect 

4 Year Old Warmblood Gelding.  Well started under saddle, i.e. green but going forward on the bit.  I can be 16.0 to 17.1, but keep in mind that I still have some growing to do.
Depending who trains me, I have interesting breeding and 3 very nice gaits.  I could be a national contender or at the very least I could be the envy of your regional dressage competitions.
I shouldn't be bought by someone without prior experience and expertise in managing a talented young horse, because I'm very athletic and intelligent.

I can be purchased in Europe in a price range from $22,000 to $45,000 depending on the quality that you expect of me.  Also, the more training I have the higher my price tends to be.  Don't forget to budget for import.  I'm sound with good radiographs and no vices.  Depending where you find me, I may be a little "rough around the edges" - if you find me at my breeding farm, for instance.  I'm a excellent opportunity for a talented rider. I can also be a good idea for an amateur to buy and keep me with a trainer for the future.

Up and Coming

I'm 6-9 years old.  have competed through at least 3rd level.  I know a single flying change, good half pass and decent extended gaits.  I may have played a little bit with piaffe and passage.  I will be competitive at some of the countries bigger shows.  I can be bought for $75,000 to $150,000 depending on my quality, competition history and perceived potential.

Amateur's Dream 

I'm between 10 and 13 years old and have been shown successfully through 4th level.  I know how to do flying changes, half pass and shoulder in.  Sometimes I even know how to do a little piaffe and canter pirouettes.  I'm the prefect horse for the intermediate amateur who is looking for an opportunity for a good education.  I'm usually competitive at a local and regional level.  With a savvy rider I'll compete nationally.
I can be a gelding, mare or stallion.  Most of the time I'm around 16.2 to 16.3 but sometimes I'm a bit smaller or bigger.  The best thing about me is that I'm EXPERIENCED.  I'm a "been there done that" kind of horse, and I'm ready to give you the education that I've absorbed from my lifetime of training.  I'm sound, and my radiographic views are within accepted parameters for my age.  Buyers are NEVER sorry when they purchase me.  I normally cost between $40,000 and $60,000.  In the late 90's you could buy me for half that but demand for horses like me has driven the prices up a good bit.   Some buyers purchase me with a two year plan to resell me.  I do require a tune-up from time to time with an experienced trainer, but I'm truly an "amateur's dream."

Older Schoolmaster

I've been there and done that and had a lot of fun.  At age 13-18, I've served my purpose and gained a lot of experience.  I've got a lot of fun and experience to offer my next owner.  They have a pretty reasonable tolerance for my issues when the vet checks me out because I've got some arthritic changes.  Fact is however, I'll come out and do my job every day for you if you take good care of me.  I can be bought for $25,000 to $50,000 depending on my age.

Short and Sweet

I may be only 14.3 to 15.3 hands, but I'm not short in movement or talent.  You can find me usually between 6 and 12 years old and doing third level.  I'm the perfect horse for the small dressage rider who's tired of being over-mounted on huge warmbloods. 
Sometimes I know flying changes, but not always.  Usually I have a very long show record with my young rider who has sadly outgrown me.  I'm found in Holland and usually have Dutch papers of some kind.
My temperament is normally good, at least good enough for a young person to enjoy a successful career on me.  I might be a mare or gelding.  I'm sound with satisfactory radiographs, and a history of clinical soundness.  I can usually be purchased for $25,000 to $40,000 in Holland.  Don't forget to add $5,200 for importation.  I'm a great option for the small rider with big plans!

Light and Bright

 I'm 16.1 and suitable for a young rider or a refined lady.  I'm usually around 10 to 12 years old before my owner is ready to part with me.  She has taught me as much as she can and has never gone beyond 4th level.  I know flying changes pretty well.  Very often I can be bumped up to Prix St. George with a good rider.
I'm a fancy mover and am fairly easy to ride if an experienced rider climbs aboard.  I have a show record behind me and am ready to provide a great future for the right match.
I'm the type of horse that many ladies are looking for - especially those who are tired of being dragged around by big heavy horses.    

I am sound with good radiographs and a show history.  I can be ridden in a snaffle or a double bridle and have three good gaits.  Riding me, you'll be the envy of your local shows and will capture some ribbons at regional finals.  If you are a skilled rider, you'll hold your own at a national level riding me!
Don't mistake me for the amateur's dream horse (above) because I may be just a bit more horse and require a bit more skill and experience.   I can be bought in Europe for $65,000 to $125,000 depending on my potential and age.  If I'm younger with more training, I tend to be more expensive.

New Forest Pony

I'm a New Forest Pony.  My breed is named after the New Forest region in England where my great great grandponies came from.  I was bred in Holland and my sire is quite famous for producing great temperaments.  In fact, barring a few black sheep in our pony gene-pool, us New Forest Ponies are famous for having the best temperaments you can find among pony breeds.  With each year we are becoming more famous in the sport horse world because of our jumping ability and dressage potential.  Normally I'm around 14.1 but don't worry, I can carry a small adult or a child.  I am  adorable, as sweet as a Labrador and ready to move into your barn.
I can be bought as a foal for around 6,000 - 10,000 or as a green broke pony for 15,000 - 30,000, or as a made pony (better ask dad to raise his Mastercard limit).

Older Approved Stallion

I'm an approved breeding stallion with a respected stud book.  Since I'm 12 years old and I have approved sons or siblings, and because my owner has frozen semen from me in Europe, I am for sale.  Sometimes I have some dressage training that can be a really fun bonus, and with a little promotion, I can help to pay for myself in the breeding shed.  You can buy one like me for $45,000 to $150,000 depending on my popularity, on circumstances and on the registry I'm approved with.  (KWPN is tending to be more expensive).

I'm Young, extremely handsome and full of presence and promise.  In the fall I'm ready to be presented as a stallion prospect for the KWPN, Hanoverian, Oldenburg Westphalen or Danish studbook.  I'm certainly a cut above the rest, and if approved, I'll be worth a lot of money.  Right now I can be bought for $50,000 to $250,000.  If I'm not approved, one quick surgery and you've got a world class gelding.  Sounds like a win/win!

World Class Weanling

World Class 3 or 4 year old.

I'm a mare or gelding that will definitely need an International Passport.  My father is a well known horse as is my mother's father.  When you see me move free, I'll bring tears to your eyes.  Even though I can be just green broke, I will blow you away with my presence and fantastic movement.

Of the many thousands of horses that are born each year, I'm definitely in the top 1% of my class.  You can expect to pay $50,000 to $100,000 for me and I'm nearly always purchased in Europe.  Currently Graemont has located a few of these and has video footage available both in the USA and Europe.  This is a horse that an investor would put in training with a World Class trainer.
